THINGS TO UNLEARN WHILE DOING SOMETHING TOWARDS RETIREMENT.

Not a rule of the thumb, but you can start preparing at least 10years to retirement while in paid employment.

I have opined that you actually use your entire working life to prepare for retirement. This is true because your employer starts from day one.

After the announcement yesterday, a Civil Servant who wants to retire at 55, that’s 5 years earlier secured her seat from Abuja.

Later in the evening, a Serving Military General in South East Nigeria also secured his seat.

Late in the night a Female Medical Doctor in one of the Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria secured her seat and is sharing the eflier far and wide for others to be a part of it.

If procrastination is indeed the thief of time, why would you want to be the “stealer” of your own time?

First mistake retirees going into business make is, waiting till retirement before they start  a business.

Second mistake is, starting business with their whole entitlement paid of what they haven’t really learnt the ropes.

Thirdly is starting a business at retirement and expecting the business to pay them as much as their salary at the beginning of the business.
